FPL GW27: Data Scout XI Results
Last week we scored a brilliant 88 points.. this week we have bettered that. Our DS:XI GW27 score is 90, with our differential pick Rodrigo Muniz bagging 11 points.

Post-game week analysis:
GK: Unsuprisingly, Sheffield failed to threaten the Arsenal keeper in their six-nil drumming at home. Raya didn’t make a single save, with zero of Sheffield’s four shots hitting the target. Raya now has only faced four shots on target in five matches.
DEF: Due to Sheffield’s lack of threat, Gabriel also returned his expected clean sheet points. The same, unfortunately, could not be said in regards to Trippier and Senesi. Both of their sides kept clean sheets but were taken off the field due to injury before they could register those points. If Trippier had stayed on for another eight minutes, he would have finished with six points instead of one. One bonus to our defence is that Richarlison didn’t feature for Spurs against Crystal Palace due to injury, meaning our first sub from the bench came on instead. That was Spurs’ Romero who actually scored to put them into the lead, leaving him to bag ten points. A blessing, and quite fortunate.
MID: Gordon continued his great home form by scoring another goal, and Foden lit up the Manchester Derby scoring twice to turn the game around in his sides’ favour. Saka only lasted until half-time until he was hooked off by Arteta due to the result vs Sheffield being secured already (was 5-0 at half-time), but that was enough time for him to register two assists, setting up Declan Rice and an own goal.
FWD: Who else but Watkins? The Aston Villa striker is constantly showing why he should be the main captain pick. In a thrilling match vs Luton, Watkins scored twice to bring home thirteen points. We wish the same could be said regarding Haaland who did score, but should have scored more. He missed a sitter in the first half, with him leaving the field with twelve points. Our most important selection was our differential striker, Rodrigo Muniz. We predicted him to score against Brighton, a side which forwards have averaged 4.7 points per game. He delivered and included an assist for good measure.
Due to Richarlison’s injury, our 3-4-3 turned into a 4-3-3. Returning 90 points with a back four is a special feeling, and hopefully we continue our good form into double game week 28.
You can view the original game week report below:
GK – Raya, Arsenal
The Arsenal keeper was unlucky not to have kept another clean sheet last weekend vs Newcastle where he was beaten by a looping effort by Joe Willock near the end of the game. Raya has only faced four shots on target in his last four matches and his next match is away against bottom of the league Sheffield United, who have conceded eleven goals and scored once against the top three this season. Four of Raya’s eight clean sheets this season have occured in the last ten game weeks, we’re backing him for another this weekend.
DEF – Gabriel, Arsenal
Gabriel has been picking up an average of 4.2 points a game away from home, only bettered in an Arsenal shirt by Benjamin White with 4.3. A clean sheet looks likely against Sheffield United, who have only scored twice at home since the new year, and hopefully another attacking return from Arsenal’s elusive set plays. Defenders vs Sheffield have averaged 4.0 points per game. He is a must.
DEF – Trippier, Newcastle United
Although Newcastle have conceded the most goals in the league since the New Year (2.85 goals conceded per game), Trippier has picked up four goals & assists in the same period. He is also at home again where he has picked up 5.5 points per game.
DEF – Senesi, Bournemouth
Bournemouth face a struggling Burnley side who have only scored twice at home since Christmas. Senesi could return a tidy clean sheet but also offers points in attack, having five goals + assists this season. He also offers a decent return of points away from home, averaging 4.0 points per game.
MID – Gordon, Newcastle United
If you’re unaware, Gordon has been in fire at home, averaging 6.8 points per game. He has scored or assisted in his last three home matches and this weekend they’re facing a difficult side in Wolves. We’re backing Gordon to continue his good form off the back off a goal in the FA Cup in the week.
MID – Foden, Manchester City
Phil Foden continues to deliver this season. Having just hauled 11 points against Bournemouth in his last league outing he faces his city rivals in red. He isn’t exactly shy in the Manchester Derby, having scored four goals in the last three meetings. Despite blanking in his last three home matches, we’re expecting a return this weekend.
MID – Richarlison, Tottenham
Spurs should have enough to see off Crystal Palace, despite a potential new manager bounce. Richarlison has blanked in his last two matches but has been in wicked form in his last ten game weeks, scoring nine goals.
MID – Saka, Arsenal
Saka continued his terrific season against Newcastle, scoring a lovely solo goal. He’s 2nd in the table for midfielders with the most goals and assists with 21. He faces a Sheffield team which midfielders have averaged 4.7 points per game against.
FWD – Watkins, Aston Villa
Watkins has averaged 6.7 points per game away from home this season, and faces Luton which forwards have averaged 4.9 points per game against. There should be goals in this game, and we’re expecting Watkins to either be creating them or scoring.
FWD – Haaland (c), Manchester City
Haaland. He will be buzzing after his five goals against Luton in the FA Cup this week, and he’ll need no motivation to turn up in the Manchester Derby. He has scored and assisted eight times in his last two home matches vs Manchester United. He has averaged 6.8 points per game at home, and we’re expecting a haul.
FWD – Rodrigo Muniz, Fulham
A suprise differential pick for us here, but this forward has been in form for Fulham, scoring four goals in his last four games. Playing at home vs a Brighton side who have conceded 1.9 goals per game. Forwards have had a great time vs Brighton too, averaging 4.7 points per game. If Fulham continue off the back of their great performance vs Manchester United, we expect Muniz to be on the scoresheet.
Subs: Areola (GK, West Ham), Romero (DEF, Tottenham), Robinson (DEF, Fulham), Palmer (MID, Chelsea).
This XI is predicted to score around 66 points, come back after the game week has completed to see how we scored!
