FPL GW31: Data Scout XI Results
Two automatic substitutes save our game week as our main assets fail to provide.

Saka and Jesus didn’t make an appearance in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Luton this game week, which meant Foden and Ait-Nouri came on in there place. Touch of fortune as they provided 28 points to the team.
GK Points: 2. We predicted a clean sheet for Newcastle against Everton, and once again Everton shut us down. Another late goal from them prevented Dubravka from bringing home 6 points.
DEF Points: 18. Burn actually scored against Everton only for it to be ruled out, and then late on he lost his clean sheet. White got his clean sheet against Luton while Sheffield suprised everyone with a goal at Anfield, ruining Virgil’s clean sheet points. Ait-Nouri comes off the bench for us with a goal to his name!
MID Points: 30. Foden’s hattrick against Villa meant he provided 20 of the 30 points we recieved in midfield! Crazy we originally had him on the bench. Salah and Son failed to turn up and Luis Diaz got an assist for a very fortunate deflection which led to MacAllister’s world class effort.
FWD Points: 10. Isak continued his scintilating form, scoring a goal in the first 15 minutes against Everton, but Toney failed to score, once again.

GW31 arrives just two days after the final fixture of GW30, here’s a quick data scout XI pick.

GK – Dubravka, Newastle
Newcastle are hosting an Everton side which goalkeepers have averaged 5.2 points against this season. This is due to their struggles in front of goal leading to keepers leaving the pitch with a clean sheet. They were fortunate to score against Bournemouth in the last game week and we’re predicting a sterner test for them against this Newcastle back line. Dubravka starts for potential clean sheet points.
DEF – Burn, Newcastle
Dan Burn joins the starting line up for the same reasons as Dubravka. Defenders have averaged 3.6 points against Everton, and Burn himself has averaged 3.8 points at home this season.
DEF – White, Arsenal
Ben White is currently the top scoring defender for fantasy points so far this season, and with good reason. He has averaged 6.2 points per game in his last ten game weeks, providing four goals and assists. Arsenal are playing at home against Luton. Arsenal have conceded 0.9 goals on average at home this season.
DEF – Virgil, Liverpool
Liverpool are hosting bottom of the table, Sheffield United. The team which defenders have averaged 4.0 points against this season. At home this season, Liverpool have conceded 0.9 goals on average, therefore we’re expecting a lack of threat going forward for Sheffield in this match at Anfield. Virgil is in for potential clean sheet points and an attacking threat on corners.
MID – Son, Tottenham Hotspur
Son travels away for a London derby against West Ham, a fixture he isn’t shy in scoring in. This season he has averaged 7.5 points per game away from home, scoring and assisting six times in his last ten matches. Spur are also 2nd in the table for average goals per away game (2.1).
MID – Saka, Arsenal
Saka came off early against Manchester City, limping. But there is no concerns as he starts for us in this game week. His game time may be limited if Arsenal finish the game off in the first half like they did against Sheffield, where Saka was taken off at half time to give him some deserved rest. Saka has averaged 6.4 points per game at home this season and has been involved in 33% of Arsenal’s goals this season. If they score then Saka will likely be involved.
MID – Luis Diaz, Liverpool
Luis Diaz has more points than any other Liverpool player in his last ten matches, scoring four goals and assisting three times in that period. He averages 4.8 points per game at home and he hosts a Sheffield side which midfielders have averaged more points against than any other team (4.5).
MID – Salah, Liverpool
Liverpool’s most important asset in the title race is back from injury and back in the goals again, having scored the winning goal against Brighton in their last fixture. Salah has averaged 8.5 points at home this season, and makes our team as the captain once again.
FWD – Jesus, Arsenal
Luton have allowed opponents 30.8 touches per 90 in own penalty box. Jesus/Havertz/Odegaard/Saka are all good options for this game week as they all crash into the box to score. But we have opted for Jesus. While he hasn’t been on form this season, forwards against Luton have averaged 5.2 points per game.
FWD – Toney, Brentford
Toney finally ended his bad returns run which an assist against Manchester United, in a match he also hit the post in. He faces a Brighton side which fowards have averaged 4.4 points against, and Toney himself has averaged 4.6 points per game at home since his return.
FWD – Isak, Newcastle
Isak finds himself in great form with five goals and assists in his last three matches, scoring a total of 29 points.
Subs: Neto (GK, Bournemouth), Foden(MID, Man. City), Ait-Nouri (DEF, Wolves), Mee (DEF, Brentford).
