FPL GW36: Data Scout XI Results

A perfect weeks for our Data Scout XI where all eleven players scored above five points!

GK Points: 10. It wasn’t a suprise that Brentford and Fulham played out a score draw this weekend, and it was great news for our keeper who took home a clean sheet and bonus points.

DEF Points: 17. Branthwaite continues his good fantasy form by winning a penalty against Luton which was converted by our striker Calvert-Lewin, this counts as an assist. Benjamin White took part in another Arsenal clean sheet, and Gvardiol picked up another assist.

DEF Points: 32. While it was a contentious decision, Havertz won a penalty in his match against Bournemouth which was converted by one of our other midfielders, Saka, giving our captain Havertz assist points. Foden delivered on an assist for Haaland, just as Gibbs-White did for Hudson-Odoi’s last goal in their match vs Sheffield.

DEF Points: 35. Mateta scored an exceptional goal against Manchester United, as predicted, in Palace’s demolition of the Red Devils. As mentioned, Calvert-Lewin scored from the spot against Luton, and Erling Haaland… scored FOUR goals against Wolves. It’s a real shame we didn’t captain him.

Despite our high points tally, we were outscored by FPL’s The Scout, who scored 101 points. We had eight of the same players, however they captained Haaland who made the difference. Here are the current scores:

This weekend we’re shaping up in a 3-4-3 formation, with our captaincy focusing on possible Havertz returns vs Bournemouth.

GK – Flekken, Brentford

Brentford are hosting Fulham, a side who are 15th in the table for goals scored away from home. Keepers have averaged 4.6 points per game at home against them.

DEF – Branthwaite, Everton

Alongside his team, Branthwaite has picked up considerable points form. With Everton now safe from relegation, they are now playing with little pressure. Branthwaite has averaged 5.5 points in his last six matches, including a goal against Liverpool. In his last five matches he has averaged 1.2 shots per game, well above his season average of 0.43.

DEF – White, Arsenal

Still the highest scoring defender for points this season on FPL, White makes our backline once again. This weekend they are hosting Bournemouth, a fixture in which White score in last season. Arsenal have consistantly kept clean sheets recently. He is averaging 2.6 shot-creating actions in his last ten matches.

DEF – Gvardiol, Man City

With three goals and assists in his last three matches, Gvardiol joins our backline. He has averaged 7.3 points in his last six matches.

MID – Havertz (c), Arsenal

The most in form midfielder currently in FPL, Havertz is a must. Amazingly still only owned by 8.3% of fantasy players, he remains an incredibly undervalued asset to anybody’s midfield. He has scored 100 points since GW25, providing fourteen goals and assists in that period. That means he is currently averaging 1.4 goals and assists per game.

MID – Foden, Man City

Foden missed out in the last game week due to illness, and despite winning the game Man City certainly missed him. He is sure to play this weekend as they face Wolves. Foden has scored eight goals in his last ten matches.

MID – Saka, Arsenal

Despite slightly patchy form considering his standards, Saka is still 5th in the table for points per game in the last ten game weeks for midfielders. He got a goal and assists in his last match against Spurs.

MID – Gibbs-White, Nott. Forest

Gibbs-White has recently been hitting good form, he has six goals and assists in his last ten matches. He is playing away against Sheffield United this weekend, a side which midfielders have averaged 4.6 points against away from home. Only picked by 1.8% of managers, he could be a key differential this weekend.

FWD – Mateta, Crystal Palace

Only one forward has scored more FPL points than Mateta in the last ten game weeks, and that is Watkins. He has been in decent goal scoring form recently, scoring ten goals from twelve shots on target in the same period. He is facing a Manchester United side who have conceded 5.7 shots on target per game in their last ten matches.

FWD – Calvert-Lewin, Everton

Has scored three goals in his last four matches, Calvert-Lewin has rediscovered his goal scoring form. He is facing a Luton side which forwards are averaging 4.7 points against away from home.

FWD – Haaland, Man City

Haaland back in form again, he has seven goals and assists in his last seven starts. He will be a decent asset for managers as City have a double game week next week.

Subs: Dubravka (GK, Newcastle), Palmer (MID, Chelsea), Tarkowski (DEF, Everton), Dunk (DEF, Brighton).
